Our Vision
At CI Costumes, we envision providing dancers with unique and high-quality costumes that enhance their performances. We are committed to providing hand made custom costumes ensuring dancers look and feel their best on stage.
About me
All costumes are designed and created in Adelaide by Christie Ikeda. Born in Australia, my love of design and creating has been there for as long as I can remember. I was heavily involved in musical theatre during highschool both performing and creating the props/costumes to go on stage.
After highschool I completed a Certificate in Visual Arts and followed that with a Bachelor of Illustration at University of South Australia. During my years in Japan, I taught at various schools and was involved with organizing yearly performances including designing and creating costumes.
Both my children are involved in dance and performed in genres such as classical, lyrical, jazz, broadway, tap and contemporary. CI Costumes makes costumes for solo and troupe performers both male and females.
